The Institute for Financial Literacy Announces: Moonjar LLC Winner of a 2011 Excellence In Financial Literacy Education (“EIFLE”) Award

Chicago, IL – April 21, 2011 – The Institute for Financial Literacy (www.financiallit.org), a national nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization whose mission is to make effective financial literacy education available for everyone, is pleased to announce the winners of the 2011 Excellence In Financial Literacy Education (“EIFLE”) Awards, which were presented in Chicago, Illinois on April 20 at the 2011 Annual Conference on Financial Education. Celebrating its 5th Anniversary, the EIFLE Awards were created to acknowledge innovation, dedication, and the commitment of those supporting financial literacy education efforts nationwide.

In the most competitive nomination process to date, an EIFLE Awards was presented to Moonjar LLC, a Seattle WA based company in the following category:

* Education Program of the Year in the Children’s Financial Responsibility and Decision Making Category: Moonjar Classroom Kit

At Wednesday’s EIFLE Awards ceremony, Mary Karges accepted Moonjar's Award for the innovative Classroom Kit which incorporates role play, games, and creative problem solving for grades K-3 as they explore money management and the core concepts of Save Spend and Share. Institute for Financial Literacy also announced the unveiling of the EIFLE Hall of Fame, a dedicated online portal honoring the historical accomplishments of previous EIFLE winning organizations, authors, educators and researchers.
